Daniel Bertone is Partner at Grant Thornton Argentina. He is a CRISC (Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control) Consultant from the Information System Audit and Control Association, CISA (Certified Information System Auditor) and Computer Systems Analyst from Instituto Cooperativo de Enseñanza Superior (ICES).
He is Partner of our firm, in charge of the IT Advisory and Audit department for Financial Entities and Businesses in Grant Thornton in Argentina.
Daniel is part of various audit committees, serving as internal auditor. He advises financial institutions about restructuring process as an expert in systems management organizational structure.
Previously, he held management positions in Banco de Crédito Comercial SA, Banco Rural de Sunchales Cooperativo Limitado, Banco Bica Cooperativo Limitado and Banco de Santa Fe SAPEM, where he worked as Deputy General Manager in charge of the departments of Systems and Organization, and Operations, with over 600 people in his care.
The main areas of expertise where Daniel performed his career for the Financial Private Sector are: system management; communications and security; operations management; intervention on capitalization and restructuring processes of financial institutions; design and implementation of various computer systems; organization manuals, mission and functions manuals and procedures manuals. He is also an expert in Computer Systems Audit according to COBIT methodology; Business Process Reengineering, training courses for financial institutions; internal and external audits.
He has been Senior Vice President at Provincanje SA, a company that provides complementary services to the federal compensation belonging to the low-value electronic cameras and interprovincial warehouse management.
Daniel participated in the foundation of one of the national system of means of payments’ societies, being the founding Director of ACH SA.
In the Non Financial Private Sector he served in process reengineering projects for sanatorium institutions and services companies; computer systems design; advisory for implementing ISO standards; as well as in the design of integrated computer systems and processes reengineering in the mutual societies sector.
Daniel was manager of Fit & Proper teams doomed to the "Institutional Strengthening Project for the Saving and Credit Cooperatives of Honduras” IDB / FACACH ATN/ME-8545-HO, Administrative and Financial Risk Management Tools for Saving and Credit Cooperatives of Honduras, taking charge of all technological aspects of it.
