Prior to Grant Thornton Mark was a senior partner in Ernst & Young Singapore for Banking & Capital Markets Advisory.
He has over 20 years financial services experience, in which 18 years he has been based in Asia, with a focus on finance, operations and IT in banking and capital markets.
Prior to Ernst & Young he was the APAC regional head of IT for operations, finance, risk & compliance for UBS Investment Bank. He was also a Financial Services consulting partner with IBM Business Consulting (formerly PwC Consulting) leading their ASEAN financial management practice.
He started his career in London and qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Coopers & Lybrand. After transferring to Coopers & Lybrand Sydney in 1993, he moved into management consulting and moved to Singapore in 1998. After the merger, Mark was made partner in PwC in 2001.
Mark is Vice President on the Board of the British Chamber of Commerce in Singapore.
