Darío Lapadú is Audit Director at Grant Thornton Argentina. He is a Certified Public Accountant and has a Bachelor’s Degree in Administration and Management from the Universidad Nacional de Lomas de Zamora (UNLZ). He holds an MBA in Business Direction and in Finance Direction and Control, broth from the Universidad Argentina de la Empresa (UADE).
He was part of the International Financial Reporting Standards programme at the Universidad de San Andrés (UdeSA) and completed a specialization in money laundering risk prevention.
Darío is a teaching assistant of the “Audit” chair at UADE. He has also taught various courses on minimum standards, external audits under standards of the Banco Central de la República Argentina (BCRA – Argentina’s Central Bank), auditing standards, certifications and accounting reports, preparation of balance sheets, registrations, BCRA plan of accounts, internal control and risk administration, BCRA regulations, risk management and professional accounting standards in Argentina.
Darío has more than 20 years of professional experience, both local and international, developed in major auditing firms.
He has been involved in assurance assignments and external and internal audits to private companies and international groups from various industries, specializing in financial entities, financial trusts and related activity companies. He has vast experience in due diligence processes for purchase or acquisition, presentations in the different control bodies of Argentina, financial information prepared in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Generally Accounting Accepted Principles in Argentina and in the review of internal and business control processes.
