Marina Bernal is a certified Public Accountant from Universidad de Buenos Aires. She is Audit Manager of Grant Thornton Argentina and instructor of in-house courses about professional accounting standards, audit regulations and related subjects.
Marina has taken the Universidad de San Andrés (UdeSA) program about International Financial Reporting Standard (IFRS) and teach about methodology, IFRS and audit risks.
Marina has more than 10 years of experience performing audits and working with clients from different industries, not only at Grant Thornton, but also at another Big Four firm.
She began her career at Grant Thornton Argentina as an assistant in 1998, continuing her development at Ernst & Young studio, as a senior. In 2005 she rejoined Grant Thornton Argentina and a year later she became Audit Manager.
Marina is the teamwork leader during the audit process and is the main interlocutor with the client. She is responsible for plan, supervise and review the field work; identify and evaluate important matters and make the auditor's report. She also takes part in the fraud risk identification and in the identification and evaluation of background control failures.
