Qualifications
Darío Lapadú is Audit Partner at Grant Thornton Argentina. He is a Certified Public Accountant and has a Bachelor’s Degree in Administration and Management from the Universidad Nacional de Lomas de Zamora (UNLZ). He holds an MBA in Business Direction and in Finance Direction and Control, both from the Universidad Argentina de la Empresa (UADE).
He was part of the International Financial Reporting Standards programme at the Universidad de San Andrés (UdeSA) and completed a specialization in money laundering risk prevention.
Darío was teaching assistant of the ‘Audit’ chair at UADE, of various courses from the Universidad Austral, and of the Diploma in Auditing from the Professional Council of Economic Sciences of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires (CPCECABA). He has also taught various courses on external audits under standards of the Banco Central de la República Argentina (Argentina’s Central Bank), auditing standards, certifications and accounting reports, preparation of balance sheets, internal control and risk administration.
Experience
Darío has more than 24 years of professional experience, both local and international, developed in major auditing firms.
He has been involved in assurance assignments and external and internal audits to private companies and international groups from various industries –including manufacturing, logistics, retail and healthcare-, specializing in financial entities, clearing and settlement agents, financial trusts and related activity companies. He has vast experience in presentations to different control bodies of Argentina, financial information prepared under International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Generally Accounting Accepted Principles in Argentina, and in the review of internal and business control processes.
