Qualifications
Nicolas Barrios is Tax Manager at Grant Thornton Argentina. He has a bachelor’s degree in Public Accountancy from the Universidad de Buenos Aires (UBA).
Besides his work at GTA, Nicolás is professional practices’ mentor at Escuela de Educación Técnica N°3 “Dr. Norberto Piñero” from Tandil, Buenos Aires.
Nicolás has taken in-house courses by Grant Thornton International, like “Bilateral treaty to avoid double taxation” (Montevideo, Uy.), “High manager trustworthy consultant” (Montevideo, Uy.), “How to organise a successful tax practise” (San Pablo, Br.) and “International taxation of direct taxes” –Level I & II– (Buenos Aires, Arg.). He also made the intermediate Pedagogical Training Section for technicians, professionals and higher technicians at the Universidad FASTA.
Experience
Nicolás works at Grant Thornton Argentina since 2007 and before he worked for more than 15 months as tax assistant in Turner Internacional Argentina (Claxson).
He has experience assisting clients from different industries, like hotels, grain producers, telecommunications, consumer goods, farming and forwarders.
