Gabriel Righini is an Audit Partner at Grant Thornton Argentina. He is a Certified Public Accountant with Business Orientation from the Universidad de Buenos Aires (UBA) and he also has a Certificate in International Business and Finance from the New York University (NYU).
He is a member of the board of the Argentine Forum of Audit Firms and the Regulatory Working Group established by the 6 larger audit networks in Argentina.
Gabriel has over 20 years of experience advising private companies and international groups in various sectors such as hospitality, logistics, telecommunications, oil & gas and manufacturing.
He has experience with local and international assignments involving audits, Due Diligence and IPOs for international markets, applying accounting frameworks such as IFRS and US GAAP. Among other duties, he is the partner responsible for Independence in Grant Thornton Argentina.
Before joining the Firm, Gabriel worked at the New York office of Grant Thornton (US) as Global Audit Specialist (2003-2004) and as Manager at the Professional Standards Group (2001-2002). He was also Assurance Manager at Riadigos, Trossero & Asociados (now Ernst & Young), a firm he joined in 1991.
Gabriel was Instructor of Intermediate Accounting at the Universidad de Buenos Aires’ Economic School as well as instructor of Financial Information at Universidad del CEMA´s MBA Program.
Nowadays, he is an Instructor of Accounting Principles in Universidad Austral and also in the subject Financial Reporting of the Program: the Role of a Director in a listed entity in Argentina, provided by the Instituto de Gobernanza Empresarial y Publica (IGEP).
