Gabriel Righini is Assurance Partner at Grant Thornton Argentina. A Certified Public Accountant with Business Orientation from the Universidad de Buenos Aires, he also has a Certificate in International Business and Finance from New York University.
Gabriel is an assurance partner with over 20 years of experience advising private companies and international groups, in various sectors such as hospitality, logistics, telecommunications, oil & gas and technology.
He is experienced with local and international assignments involving audits, Due Diligence and IPOs for international markets, applying accounting frameworks such as IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) and US GAAP. Gabriel is also the partner in charge of IFRS in Grant Thornton Argentina.
Before joining Grant Thornton Argentina, Gabriel worked at the New York office of Grant Thornton (US) as Global Audit Specialist (2003-2004) and as Manager at the Professional Standards Group (2001-2002). He was also Assurance Manager at Riadigos, Trossero & Asociados (now Ernst & Young), a firm he joined in 1991.
Gabriel was Instructor of Intermediate Accounting at the Universidad de Buenos Aires´ Economic School, as well as instructor of Financial Information at Universidad del CEMA´s MBA Program.
Nowadays, he is an Instructor of money laundering prevention and argentine regulatory framework trainings for clients and prospects. In addition, he participates in the Preparation Program for International Certification in IFRS issued by Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales (ICAEW) and conducted in Argentina at Universidad Austral.
