Gabriel Righini is Audit Partner at Grant Thornton Argentina. He is a Certified Public Accountant with Business Orientation graduated from the Universidad de Buenos Aires (UBA) and he has a Certificate in International Business and Finance from the New York University (NYU).
He is professor of Accounting Principles in the Universidad Austral and in the subject Financial Reporting of the Program for Directors of Listed Companies from the Instituto de Gobernanza Empresarial y Publica (IGEP). He was also professor of Patrimonial Accounting at the Universidad de Buenos Aires’ Economic School, as well as instructor of Financial Information at Universidad del CEMA´s MBA Program.
He is member of the board of the Argentine Forum of Audit Firms and of the Regulatory Working Group established by the 6 largest audit firms in Argentina.
Gabriel has more than 20 years of professional experience, both local and international. The latter includes his two years as Global Audit Specialist and as Manager of the Professional Standards Group in the New York office of Grant Thornton LLP (US). He is the partner responsible of Independence at Grant Thornton Argentina.
He has been involved in audits, due diligence and IPOs for domestic and international markets, applying accounting frameworks and regulations such as IFRS and US GAAP. He also advises private companies and international groups in various sectors such as hospitality, logistics, telecommunications, oil & gas and manufacturing.
