Isbeth Boscan is Audit Manager at Grant Thornton Argentina. She has a bachelor’s degree in Public Accountancy from the Universidad Rafael Belloso Chacín (URBE), in Maracaibo, Venezuela. She has been part of the Young Leaders program dictated by the Universidad Siglo 21 and in the Energy Leaders Training program organized by the Argentine Committee of the World Energy Council (CACME).
Isbeth has knowledge in Power Bi, has taken courses on International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and has participated in different in-house audit trainings.
Isbeth joined Gran Thornton Argentina in 2021 as Audit Senior, and thanks to her performance, in 2022 she was promoted to Supervisor, and in 2023 to Manager. She specializes in external and internal audits and has experience in risk analysis and internal control, accounting advice, report writing and credit analysis.
As part of her tasks, Isbeth analyzes accounting information, performs operating-accounting reconciliations, prepares the financial statements, holds follow-up meetings, and presents management reports. She is also responsible for supervising the information prepared by the team, detecting omissions or errors, and developing process controls and improvements.
Before joining the Firm, Isbeth was part of the audit team of one of the Big-Four firms and worked as a regulatory affairs analyst for Banco Occidental de Descuento (BOD) in Venezuela.
At Grant Thornton Argentina, in addition to working with national clients, Isbeth worked with clients from Puerto Rico.
