Leonardo Fraga is Audit Partner at Grant Thornton Argentina. He is a Certified Public Accountant from Universidad de Buenos Aires; he was an Accounting Professor at Universidad de Buenos Aires and an Assistant Professor of Financial Information at Universidad del CEMA.
Leonardo is a current member of the Latin American Coordinating Committee, representing Grant Thornton International in monitoring issues related to the regulations of the profession in the region and of the GTI’s Strategic Driver Execution Team, with responsibilities in the consistent implementation of the global strategy in Argentina. He is also a former member of the GTI IFRS Interpretations Group.
He represented Grant Thornton Argentina and was part of the Directing Committee of the Argentinian Forum of Audit Firms until 2019.
He is Partner at Grant Thornton Argentina’s Audit Division since 2001, his previous experience includes 2 years as Senior Manager at Grant Thornton’s Weston office in United States. Before that, he was Manager at Riadigos, Trossero & Asociados (now Ernst & Young), a firm he joined in 1986.
He has experience with international assignments involving audits, due diligence and IPOs for international markets applying accounting frameworks such as International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and US GAAP.
Leonardo has vast experience advising private companies and international groups, in different industries such as energy, entertainment, hospitality, distribution, non-for-profit, services and industrial businesses.
