Alejandro Chiappe, Advisory Services Partner at Grant Thornton Argentina, and Andrea Grobocopatel, President of the Fundación FLOR, signed a collaboration agreement for the joint production of reports and research in the field of gender diversity and women's leadership. Also present, was Matiana Behrends, Advisory Services Partner and responsible for Human Capital Advisory Services at Grant Thornton Argentina, who promoted the alliance and will lead the cooperation projects.

Being able to measure allows us to gain visibility and deep understanding, and only through this understanding it is possible to drive true transformation. We are beginning a key stage: the production of first-hand statistics regarding women leaders and women entrepreneurs will be essential to contribute to a fairer society, with more opportunities and better decisions”, said Andrea Grobocopatel.

Photo of Alejandro Chiappe"Collaboration between the social sector and the private sector is very important in pursuit of the improvement of our community. Job insertion and training opportunities for those who are not part of the corporate sector but are taking their first steps as entrepreneurs are issues that concern us all," highlighted Alejandro Chiappe.

“The mid-market is the driving force of the global economy. In Argentina, SMEs play a key role: regional economies are primarily made up of medium-sized companies and family businesses. Women's participation in the mid-market is remarkable, they play important roles. In alliance with Fundación FLOR we are going to work to understand how we can provide support to women in leadership roles”, Chiappe added.

This agreement reaffirms the Grant Thornton network's commitment to gender equity and parity in senior leadership positions. Since 2004, we have published the Women in Business report, where we track the proportion of women in senior management positions in mid-market companies around the world and encourage executives to make decisions that achieve gender parity in leadership roles as quickly as possible.

Our country is a global example of the progress of women in the workforce, driven by regulations and cultural movements. But, as Women in Business 2025 reveals, we still have a long way to go”.

Our collaboration with Fundación FLOR is a step beyond in raising awareness about the situation of women in our country and offering resources that promote female leadership and foster an inclusive culture.

Combining the Grant Thornton network's experience in data collection and analysis with the FLOR Foundation's fieldwork will allow us to gain a more accurate picture of the current situation. This can serve as a kickstart to propose best practices towards greater inclusion of women in the workplace", Behrends concluded.

Our first joint initiative will be a webinar on Women Leaders, where we will share solutions to promote gender parity through key tools for equality and diversity assessments and methodologies for measuring women's participation in decision-making. The webinar will be held in the morning of Thursday May 22nd, 2025, with prior registration on our website.
