As part of our global quality objective, Christian Martin (Audit Partner at Grant Thornton Argentina) will undertake a secondment – an international experience within the Grant Thornton Network - for the next two years in the Service Line Capability and Quality department at GTIL as Global Quality Specialist.
The Quality team at Grant Thornton International Ltd. (GTIL) is responsible for helping to ensure member firms deliver high-quality services. The professional services we provide, especially auditing, are high-risk and require not only compliance with professional standards, but also the commitment of each member firm and collaborator to keep up to date with procedures and practices, rigour, and the adoption of tools to ensure a reliable, high-quality deliverables.
In his new role, and leading GTAR (quality reviews) processes, Christian will support the growth of member firms and collaborate to improve their efficiency in quality processes and procedures through the production of materials and tools to support member firms in delivering quality services, as well as presentations and reports for regulatory bodies such as the International Forum of Independent Audit Regulators (IFIAR).
“This will be my second secondment, and I am very excited to get started. I am especially motivated by the opportunity to interact more directly and closely with network leaders, as well as with the teams of various member firms that I will have the chance to review,” said Christian. “I will be exposed to best quality practices, which we will then seek to apply in our firm. I have no doubt that this experience will bring great value both to the organisation and to my professional development.”

About Christian Martin
Christian Martin is a Certified Public Accountant, graduated from the Universidad Nacional de Lomas de Zamora (UNLZ), and holds a certification in International Business and Finance from New York University (United States).
With more than 20 years of professional experience, he has provided services to clients for local purposes and reporting under various accounting frameworks (US GAAP, IFRS) across multiple industries, including technology, fintech, manufacturing, and services. He has been part of our firm since 2001 and is the Quality Manager and Assurance Methodology Leader. In 2008 and 2009, he moved to Miami to work in the Audit division of Grant Thornton LLP (USA) as part of Grant Thornton’s professional exchange and development programme (known as secondment).
Christian is highly committed to the network and quality. He is a coach (mentor) for GTIL’s Advanced Leadership Programme (ALP), aimed at senior managers, directors, and new partners; has been part of the teams conducting quality reviews of network’s member firms (GTAR); was office leader for the update of the firm’s policies and internal controls and for the update of the audit methodology; and was one of the leaders in the implementation of the International Standard on Quality Management – ISQM 1 at Grant Thornton Argentina.
In 2024, with the Quality Committee of Grant Thornton Argentina, he received the Go Beyond Award for Quality awarded by GTIL in recognition of their work and commitment to quality.
In addition to having recently been a lecturer in “Audit of Financial Statements” at the Universidad Argentina de la Empresa (UADE), Christian regularly delivers internal and external courses on accounting, audit and risk methodology.
