Mariana Alonso in BRS – Financial Services Partner at Grant Thornton Argentina. She is a Certified Public Accountant graduated from the Universidad Nacional del Litoral (UNL).
She is member of the Professional Council of Economic Sciences of Buenos Aires City (CPCECABA) and of the audit committees in different financial entities.
Mariana has more than 30 years of professional experience, both local and international. The latter includes her collaboration with the Quality Control teams of Grant Thornton International Ltd. for the quality assessment of candidate firms to integrate the network.
She has been involved in assignments for external and internal auditing of financial, foreign exchange and trust entities. Mariana, performs the external audit for trust funds where Banco Santiago del Estero, Nuevo Banco de la Rioja, BICE, BST and Banco Nación act as trustees. Some of her main clients are Nuevo Banco de la Rioja S.A., Banco Santiago del Estero S.A., Mercurio S.A., EDESE, RESESA, FINOR, Forexcambio S.A. y Casa de cambio Los Tilos S.A.
Before joining Grant Thornton Argentina in 1997, Mariana was internal audit team leader of financial and exchange entities. She was Head of Product administration division in the Banco Bica Coop. Ltdo. and worked in the internal audit division at the Banco Rural Coop. Ltdo.
