Néstor Jusid

Qualifications

Néstor Jusid is Partner at Grant Thornton Argentina and works as Global Quality Specialist at Grant Thornton International Limited (GTIL). He is a Certified Public Accountant graduated from the Universidad Nacional de Lomas de Zamora (UNLZ), where he was the highest qualified graduate among all economic disciplines. He holds an MBA from the Centro de Estudios Macroeconómicos de Argentina (UCEMA) and a certification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) from the American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS) – currently Association for Supply Chain Management–.

He has taught audit courses at public and private universities in Argentina and has led numerous ad-hoc audit trainings at member firms and regional seminars worldwide for Grant Thornton International.

Néstor is member of the Professional Council in Economic Sciences of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires (CPCECABA).

Experience

Néstor has more than 40 years of professional experience, both local and international. Since 2008, he is Global Quality Specialist in Grant Thornton International's global quality team, supporting GTIL quality objectives and member firms' activities to ensure quality.

He has vast experience working with GTIL member firms providing support to international clients. He was Director of the International Business Centre (IBC) of Buenos Aires and during his two-year stay in South Florida, while performing audits in the United States for Grant Thornton LLP, he was part of the creation of the first Mercosur school, with the General Consulate of Argentina in Florida. Néstor also worked at Grant Thornton Chile for a year as a technical audit partner, where he performed the conversion to US GAAP of a major state-owned oil and gas company. He has also audited banking, shipping, manufacturing and agricultural companies, and has carried out various consulting projects for Grant Thornton Argentina.

Nestor participated, directed and coordinated centralized quality monitoring and remediation tracking on behalf of Grant Thornton International worldwide, having inspected over 60 jurisdictions. He also led and participated in the Spanish translation of audit manuals and software tools and developed the first Grant Thornton Argentina Quality Procedures Manual.

He was a member of GTIL's Audit Policy Committee for the Americas and acted as Divisional Audit Specialist and Assistant Divisional Director for the Americas region.
