Socializing with colleagues, the greatest motivation to go to the office

According to a latest survey carried out by Grant Thornton Argentina to its collaborators and members of its online community, about their appreciations of going to the office in person and the balance of hybrid work, 46% of those surveyed thought that socializing with colleagues is what motivates them the most to go to the office a few days a week.

26% of those surveyed, sees as a benefit, being able to take advantage of corporate benefits that are granted to them such as lunch or per diem included. 24% ponder the opportunities for learning and accompaniment, while 5% give importance to recreational activities that take place in the workplace.

“Going back to the office is, on the one hand, a challenge for organizations that have to define the return from the offices (under what conditions, when, how much) and that is different by industry. But at the same time it is an opportunity to find moments of exchange that benefit companies and collaborators”, says Matiana Behrends, Director of Human Capital at Grant Thornton Argentina.

Grant Thornton's survey also delved into the effects of the post Qatar World Cup and inquired about what employees learned by watching and doing sports and then they were able to apply in their jobs. 65% thought that doing sports taught them to work as a team, a requirement of many positions today. For their part, 17% indicated that it contributed to having a greater tolerance to frustration, 11% continuous learning and 8% resilience.

“This World Cup was special for the organizations, not only because of the obvious joy it was, but also because this team in particular demonstrated values ​​of teamwork, resilience, focus, etc. that are desired to be replicated within our teams. Having a positive example in a year that was difficult for companies, somehow, is contagious”, adds Behrends.

 

How Argentines prefer to work in the Summer 

Another indicator of the study is the ideal situation to work on summer days. 60% prefer to work at home, with air conditioning. 27% choose to work from home, but near the pool. On the other hand, 7% continue to choose to work as a team from the office. Finally, 6% are inclined to work alone, listening to music.
